The Great Pumpkin, Gavin Hanson!

Gavin brought this adorable pumpkin home from school. I asked him where the eyes were...he pointed them out. I asked him where the nose was...he pointed that out too. And then, I asked him where the mouth was....He just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. I pointed to the mouth(which is so obvious to all of us) and I said, "Isn't this the pumpkins mouth?" To which Gavin replied, "Duh, mommy-that's his hair!"

A Quiet Weekend

The boys and I didn't do anything this weekend. In fact we didn't even get out of our jammies today! That was hard for me, but I really enjoyed it. We all cuddled up and watched some movies and I just looked at them. Life gets so busy that you never just take an ounce to just cuddle and look....it kind of sucks really. I'm doing this way more often. They grow up so fast and besides they love the attention and one on one time. I like the attention myself too!

A Day With God...

I had the day off of work today. I thought what a better way than to hop in the car and spend the day with God and my camera. I am no photographer....He led me to some amazing places! It is better to see it with your own two eyes. Here are some pictures I captured today.

This one is my favorite. I wanted to go on the property more, but I was afraid some old guy with overalls and a shot gun would come after me! HA!

Imagine a bright sunny day-sunset...WOW! Today is a gloomy, rainy day, but you get my drift...

I love the silo!

You can tell we are not at the peak yet. It is kind of different. This year it seems like some leaves just fall without changing color...Some of our neighbors have pretty much lost all of their leaves, while our yard is still all green....

This picture turned out a little blurry, but there was something about it that captured me, so I kept it...

Duh!

What is up with the word, "DUH?"

So lately, Gavin is really into saying things like:

-Mommy,get me some apple juice...Duh!
-Mommy,is it a school night....Duh!
-Luke,don't touch my toys....Duh!
-Mommy, I don't want to wear that coat....Duh!

First of all, I don't know who this kid thinks he is, but please and thank you would be appropriate, DUH!!

Just In Time For School Pictures!

It took us 3 days to convince Luke to just let us tie a string around his tooth to "see how it fits" I finally convinced him! Please forgive the crying. Luke had a hard time "letting go" BUT recovered quickly as you can see above. Enjoy the video!! (To listen, go to "My Music" and pause first.)

A Night Time Mystery....

Sooooo, Greg goes in to wake up Luke for school this morning. To Greg's surprise he noticed Luke's pajama shirt was different then when he went to bed last night...As Luke mosied out of bed, both Greg and Luke not only noticed that he was missing his pajama bottoms, but was butt naked from the waist down! Puzzled, Greg tells Luke to get dressed for school and leaves the room. Not a minute later, Luke arrives in our bedroom and says, "Look Daddy." He shows Greg that he still had the pajama top on from the night before under the new one. Luke has no idea how this happened. Do we have a sleep walker on our hands?!? I do recall hearing him have quite the conversation in his sleep last night!!

In Memory of Baby Glen

Sweet baby Glen. I never had a chance to meet you, but I heard alot about you. You endured so much in the short time you were here. God chose your mommy and daddy for a very special reason. It is comforting to know that you now rest in the arms of our heavenly Father.
To Wade, Renee, Grace, and Lily I think of you often and pray that God continues to bless you and heal your hearts, minds and bodies. You are a courageous and wonderful family!

(Glen passed away a day after this picture was taken on 8/27/08 at 9 1/2 months old-Here Greg is pictured with his friends, Marine and Will at Hospice Care.)
